Yesterday I joined the Central New England Chapter in its sixth year of uniting advocates, volunteers, health professionals, disability organizations and chapter staff to send a unified message to our State’s legislators that the quality of life of those living with MS and disabilities matters. Three bills proposed by the Central New England Chapter seek to improve the quality of live for people living with MS and other disabilities by:
- Increasing access to home and community based services
- Addressing gaps in accessible transportation options
- Maintaining funding for the MS HomeLINKS program
This event provided people with the opportunity to meet their legislators and policy makers, share their experiences with MS, and ask for support on issues that are crucial for people with disabilities. What a great turnout!
