The Odyssey of Life

I majored in English in college because I love to read and write. I love everything from classic literature to contemporary romance to Victorian poetry.

Below is an excerpt from one of my favorite poems. I find it inspirational because it deals with the human ability to never give up, even when faced with a long, hard journey.

Ulysses

Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

- Alfred Lord Tennyson
